My Real Fake Hair

Well well, as one might have guessed from the heading - I did my hair extensions! Yes, I did it yesterday, and after much phone calls to friends for reassurance, I finally stepped into Vain Beauty at Far East Plaza. Implanted like 100 strands of god-knows-where-they-come-from hair onto my real hair.

Unlike most people, I did my extensions through the "weaving" method, whereby the person will pleat the fake hair to your real hair, and will supposingly last much longer than the clip types. Also, the whole process was only about, 45 minutes?

Lucky Qing was there with me, because I was abit hesitant and scared larrrrr! Haha.

The Transformation

I mixed some curls and some straight hair, but apparently the curls have been straightened already and has no much effect. So behold, the after effects -

my real fake hair! lols.

Actually I didn't put enough of the extensions due to depleting resources ($$$), this session alone already cost $150! More expensive than me doing rebonding! So yeah, still can see my short and long hair together.

Val & Me

I missed you, long hair.

Overall this hair extension experience is still not bad, I get my long hair back while my short hair grows, and I can do anything I want to the fake hair without worrying about damaging my hair.

On the other hand, the bad thing about hair extensions is that when it gets wet during shower, it really adds alot of weight to the hair because of the water. And might be slightly uncomfortable when you sleep face up at night on the first day.

Well, if you ask me, real long hair is always the best. Having extensions is like a male transvetite. (what an example!) I mean, you are just not complete no matter how you try to be. :) So, I will continue to grow my long hair!

If anyone is interested in doing hair extensions, the address of Vain Beauty is:

Far East Plaza
#03-113

or

City Plaza
#01-31

I don't know about the one at City Plaza, but the Far East Plaza branch was really very crowded. There were many tourists who wanted to do extensions as they claimed they didn't have such stuffs back home.

One thing for non-chinese to take note is that most of the staffs are from China, so generally chinese-speaking. Their command of English is really weak so they will not be able to understand your queries, I know this because Qing worked as their translator half the time she was there.

But I reckon their service must be good, since I haven't heard of any other good extension shops except Vain Beauty. Mmmmm.

Alright, I gotta go sleep! Tomorrow I am waking up damn early to have my Mcdonalds breakfast! YUUUMMMMY. Night!
