My tanning mission failed!

Went to Sentosa with L&L (Lei & Ling) on Sunday. Been ages since I last went there! Seriously, I still thought we could take a bus there - that's how LONG I haven't been there! Too bad Vic can't join us because she was sick. Well...it became a gathering for the Ls. (Lei,Ling,Liyun)

Lei keep playing her DS Lite!

Ling was busy...eating. Haha!

Anyway I think we took more pictures than sun tanning lar. And I must say, Ling pose for photos like a FHM pro! :D

Heh. I took alot of photos. Very bored mah. The rest were busy eating and playing DS Lite. tsk tsk tsk.

Went to Double O with the girls yesterday, because Vic is meeting her cousin, Matthew and friends over there.

I didn't enjoy the time at Double O because of some things that happened. We got to befriend this girl from England called Emma, who was there dancing alone. The whole night we were like protecting her because there were many guys who were trying to take advantage of her in her drunken state. I can only say, she must be damn lucky to have made friends with Ling yesterday night.

And for the last half of the night I was at the counter with Lei. Not on form lar. Very tired! We had fun observing people though, and we realised that...some guys are really jerks. But it takes two hands to clap. Girls who do not know how to take care of themselves usually end up with no good ending.

So girls, please be careful when you go clubbing...especially don't drink too much if you know you can't drink. Don't get wasted!

Well well, I shall not elaborate further. Some pictures taken :

BOND

A drink prepared by the bartender...with flames!
Cool!

Me & Lei

Today is a sleepy day...woke up early in the morning when I went to bed 4am the night before! *sobs*

Had breakfast with family at Jurong West. :) I really enjoy breakfast with them. It's been awhile since we eat out together in the morning 'cuz I am always out on Saturdays! HAHA!

And back home, I took a nap while the rest of my family cleaned the house inside out. *hee* I did my share too when I woke up. I realised there were really many many junks like magazines in my home that were untouched since like 1970? The magazines are like older than me can.

I picked up a copy of TEENS magazine that I found lying in the storeroom. The year was 2000. It didn't seem to be very long ago, yet, the change over the last 7 years, oops, I mean 8, has been so great.

Let's think back how life was like in 2000.

Michelle Saram was still hot. And magazine covers were so much simpler.

People wore simple clothings, no skinny jeans or fanciful hairstyles, and make-up was unheard of for young teenagers. Everything else was au naturel.

Latest gadgets in year 2000.

THIS, was hot.

SONY Discman, anyone?

2.1MP Canon Digital Ixus

2.1MP camera was probably the IN-nest camera around. WOW. Nowadays it is up to as much as 10MP already. I guess it is just a matter of 2-3 years before some weird Japanese invent a camera that can take pictures of the microscopic organisms living in your bedroom.

Penpals column were popular back then in the absence of MSN, Friendster or Facebook. I too, was guilty of using cute names like "cutegirl" to look for penpals. While I believe penpal columns still exists in such magazines (haven't bought a mag with any "TEEN" in the title for ages!) , most of the people would probably be despos who write their age as 18 when they are actually 38.

Baboon, are you guilty of this?

When I read this I laughed out. Miko aka BBchantel which I suppose is a girl, is looking for a stead (which means boyfriend or girlfriend *rolls eye*) , yet wants to know all guys and girls out there...is she a BI?!

And finding boyfriends through penpal columns?! (LOL. OK. I admit. I met my boyfriend through funkygrad.com.)

Friendship clubs.

These are the things that boring teenagers enjoy doing back then. Well, I reckon it's better than cooping up in your room and playing MapleStory. At least you have a SOCIAL life. "No Bengs and Lians, please!" Awwwww.

Those were the good old days where life was still simple...

On a side note, as said in my previous post, I received Diner's Club direct mailer today. The person wrote my name as:

SOH LI WIN CUTIE.

DAMN IT!

Tomorrow I am going to shop for new year clothes with BOND.

Quote from G2000's slogan :

" There are 7 sins in life, who said shopping was one of them?"

And now, I am very troubled.

HOW?!

Tuesday, 1 January 2008

I don't mean to sound like a loser, but I had great fun counting down with BOND at the "Boon Lay 2008 Countdown Party!" *hee* So happening over there!

Met the girls at S11 and had Tom Yam before we proceeded to buy some stuffs for our count down session! :):)

Our crazy ribbons!

Our finished annual artwork.

We walked over to Boon Lay, where the road has already been blocked by the police for the count down party. There were many people...many malaysian bengs...bangalas..MICs..xiao lians and xiao bengs...heh. But at least it was not squeezy crowded lar, if not can faint.

There was a foam party just at the empty parking lot of the once Boon Lay Swimming Complex. I was like so shocked and tickled...foam party at Boon Lay?! No doubt the people dancing inside the barriers are mostly kids, MICs, bangalas and small ah lians & bengs who probably aren't in their right minds. Lucky me and Bond did not enter the foam party.

Foam Party

There were many Bangalas who were standing outside the barriers watching free porn show (starring Bapok & Unidentified Indian Man).

*Bapok (meaning Transvetites)

The reason why the Bangalas are standing there to watch is because the indian man is basically groping the bapok's breasts all the way and grinding against her or should i say him and everytime they do something erotic, everyone will cheer. *grossed out*

Me and the girls were basically just walking around along Boon Lay and playing with our bubbles!! :) I know it's childish lar, but it is fun! *lol*

And we also walked over to the stage area where we were just in time for count down. Dasmond Koh, Kym Ng, Felicia Chin and some other weird guests of honor were there! We have to squeeze through the crowd to get to the side of the stage...but it was a good location to watch the fireworks!

At 12am...there was the release of balloons into the air and most of all FIREWORKS! :)

Hee. Sorry ar for the bad pictures. It was quite chaotic at that time lar! :P

Us - after our crazy ribbon WAR!

the small girls in us.

kena sprayed! *sobs*

We did all sorts of crazy things man...the experience is really fun. HAHA!
Anyway after awhile...we were quite thirsty and tired. So we walked to the 7-11 and bought mineral water! And off we walked to the coffee shop to sit down and rest.

LOL! The posed "candid" shot.
Vic look so cute!

We were sitting down happily chatting while one guy suddenly walked over, sat down at our table and say wanna make friends...LOL...so funny..and after awhile his friend came and sat down as well. We don't like them lar...so we walked away and they were like "Eh, don't walk away lar, make friends only mah..." hahaha. -___-"

It seems like everywhere we go, really got alot pervertic people keep staring at us and disturbing us lor. Like example, we just walk past a bus stop then some guy will keep "HelllOOooo..." two or three times lor.

And I was trying to take a picture in the middle of the road and got drunk uncles keep saying " Xiao Mei Mei...wa..taking pictures ar..." Lame right!! Cannot take pictures meh!! Also not take your pictures lor. Haha..lucky got policeman near us! He stare at the uncle and the uncle walk away! woo hoo. I love policemen.

Okay random pictures:

This pic was taken after much harrassment.

And it was really a night of guys trying to hit on us man, no kidding. There was this guy (I believe he just stay a block away from me) who asked his female friend to ask me for my number. I was so shocked lar because I always bump into that guy on my way home one...now abit paisay if I ever bump into him again? >,<

But anyway we girls will never give our numbers to strangers de ba. :)

Overall, I guess the advantage of going to such neighbourhood events is that you don't have to worry about costly cab fares when everyone tries to go home together. Can even walk home lor. Haha!

I think this is one of the most interesting New Year I had in years. I shall end off this entry with a nice picture of BOND.

Goodbye 2007, Hello 2008!
