Went to Double O with the girls yesterday, because Vic is meeting her cousin, Matthew and friends over there.

I didn't enjoy the time at Double O because of some things that happened. We got to befriend this girl from England called Emma, who was there dancing alone. The whole night we were like protecting her because there were many guys who were trying to take advantage of her in her drunken state. I can only say, she must be damn lucky to have made friends with Ling yesterday night.

And for the last half of the night I was at the counter with Lei. Not on form lar. Very tired! We had fun observing people though, and we realised that...some guys are really jerks. But it takes two hands to clap. Girls who do not know how to take care of themselves usually end up with no good ending.

So girls, please be careful when you go clubbing...especially don't drink too much if you know you can't drink. Don't get wasted!

Well well, I shall not elaborate further. Some pictures taken :

Cool!

Me & Lei

Today is a sleepy day...woke up early in the morning when I went to bed 4am the night before! *sobs*

Had breakfast with family at Jurong West. :) I really enjoy breakfast with them. It's been awhile since we eat out together in the morning 'cuz I am always out on Saturdays! HAHA!

And back home, I took a nap while the rest of my family cleaned the house inside out. *hee* I did my share too when I woke up. I realised there were really many many junks like magazines in my home that were untouched since like 1970? The magazines are like older than me can.

I picked up a copy of TEENS magazine that I found lying in the storeroom. The year was 2000. It didn't seem to be very long ago, yet, the change over the last 7 years, oops, I mean 8, has been so great.

Let's think back how life was like in 2000.

Michelle Saram was still hot. And magazine covers were so much simpler.

People wore simple clothings, no skinny jeans or fanciful hairstyles, and make-up was unheard of for young teenagers. Everything else was au naturel.

Latest gadgets in year 2000.

THIS, was hot.

SONY Discman, anyone?

2.1MP Canon Digital Ixus

2.1MP camera was probably the IN-nest camera around. WOW. Nowadays it is up to as much as 10MP already. I guess it is just a matter of 2-3 years before some weird Japanese invent a camera that can take pictures of the microscopic organisms living in your bedroom.

Penpals column were popular back then in the absence of MSN, Friendster or Facebook. I too, was guilty of using cute names like "cutegirl" to look for penpals. While I believe penpal columns still exists in such magazines (haven't bought a mag with any "TEEN" in the title for ages!) , most of the people would probably be despos who write their age as 18 when they are actually 38.

Baboon, are you guilty of this?

When I read this I laughed out. Miko aka BBchantel which I suppose is a girl, is looking for a stead (which means boyfriend or girlfriend *rolls eye*) , yet wants to know all guys and girls out there...is she a BI?!

And finding boyfriends through penpal columns?! (LOL. OK. I admit. I met my boyfriend through funkygrad.com.)

Friendship clubs.

These are the things that boring teenagers enjoy doing back then. Well, I reckon it's better than cooping up in your room and playing MapleStory. At least you have a SOCIAL life. "No Bengs and Lians, please!" Awwwww.

Those were the good old days where life was still simple...

On a side note, as said in my previous post, I received Diner's Club direct mailer today. The person wrote my name as:

SOH LI WIN CUTIE.

DAMN IT!
